With a playoff win on the line, Northwestern rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Catawba Ridge Copperheads, posting a 42-7 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Northwestern, adding 16 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Vance, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Northwestern didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Baxter and Amarian Coleman. Coleman is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Looking ahead, Northwestern will be playing in front of their home fans against Gaffney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 26.7 points per game this season. Catawba Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
