Basketball Game Preview: Parish Episcopal Panthers vs. Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles

The Parish Episcopal Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Parish Episcopal is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Nolan Catholic on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Parish Episcopal was beaten by Nolan Catholic 67-26. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1165th, while the Vikings are ranked 463rd).

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Episcopal School of Dallas challenged Oakridge on Thursday. Episcopal School of Dallas blew past Oakridge, posting a 72-23 victory. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.

The victory was the third in a row for Episcopal School of Dallas, bringing their record for this year to 7-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Parish Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Parish Episcopal took their win against Episcopal School of Dallas in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 51-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parish Episcopal since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
