Softball Recap: Hillcrest Trojans vs. Tahquitz Titans

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Hillcrest ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tahquitz Titans 15-14. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Hillcrest got a massive performance out of Sierra Siracusa, who went 5-for-6 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Siracusa a new career-high. Melody Acevedo was another key player, going 4-for-6 with four runs, one triple, and one double.

Hillcrest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. They are 9-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Tahquitz, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
