Soccer Game Preview: Hart vs. Whitehall

Hart hasn't had much luck against Whitehall recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Hart will be strutting in after a victory while Whitehall will be coming in after a defeat.

Hart will bounce into Friday's game after beating Oakridge, who they had gone 0-8-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Eagles on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hart.

Meanwhile, Whitehall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Black River. That's two games in a row now that Whitehall have lost by just one goal.

Whitehall now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Hart, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4-2.

Hart came out on top in a nail-biter against Whitehall in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
