Baseball Recap: L.C. Bird Comes Up Short

After flying high against Huguenot on Tuesday, L.C. Bird came back down to earth. The Skyhawks lost 11-1 to the James River Midlothian Rapids on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rapids this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 back in April.

L.C. Bird's record is now 3-14. As for James River Midlothian, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, L.C. Bird will square off against Thomas Dale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Skyhawks are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for James River Midlothian, they will take on Midlothian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
