Paramus Catholic hadn't done well against Fair Lawn recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knght Paladins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cutters, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Knght Paladins have won by just one run.

Dilynn Jeffries-El made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Paramus Catholic let Grace McGuire and McKenna Henderson run wild. McGuire went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Henderson went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Henderson has posted since back in April.

Paramus Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fair Lawn struck out 13 times.

The victory made it two in a row for Paramus Catholic and bumps their season record up to 13-3-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Fair Lawn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.

Coming up, Paramus Catholic will take on St. Mary in a tournament on Sunday. The Gaels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Knght Paladins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fair Lawn, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Pascack Hills on the 8th.
