Soccer Recap: Lake Norman's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Lake Norman's victory against Butler wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bulldogs on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lake Norman also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2018.

Elliana Miller and Madelynn Campbell scored both of Lake Norman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

The victory (which was Lake Norman's third in a row) raised their record to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three matchups. As for Butler, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-2.

Lake Norman wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against South Iredell on the 25th. As for Butler, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Independence on the 25th.
