Volleyball Game Preview: Hawkins Hawks vs. Tyler HEAT

The Hawkins Hawks will square off against Tyler HEAT at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Hawkins earned a 3-1 win over Arp. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-17, 25-21.

Tyler HEAT not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Christian Heritage.

Tyler HEAT walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Hawkins better keep an eye on Sophie Middleton. She was instrumental in Tyler HEAT's win, getting six digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Middleton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexi Fuller, who had nine digs.

Tyler HEAT's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Hawkins, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 8-10.

Hawkins came up short against Tyler HEAT when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
