Softball Game Preview: Aucilla Christian Warriors vs. St. John Paul II Panthers

Aucilla Christian hasn't had much luck against St. John Paul II recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Aucilla Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Florida Christian on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 13-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (11), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II suffered their closest loss since March 28, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Florida State University High School by a score of 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Seminoles: they've now lost four in a row.

St. John Paul II saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was SANAA ROBERTS, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

St. John Paul II's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Aucilla Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Aucilla Christian couldn't quite finish off St. John Paul II in their previous meeting back in February and fell 6-4. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
