Volleyball Recap: Scituate Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Scituate, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. John Paul II Lions on Friday. The Sailors not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 13, 2024.

While Scituate won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Roan Hennigan, who had 26 digs and two aces. Those 26 digs gave him a new career-high.

Hennigan wasn't the only good server: Scituate was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. John Paul II only served six aces.

Scituate's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Coming up, Scituate will welcome Brockton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. John Paul II, they will head out on the road to face off against Southeastern RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
