Softball Recap: Grand Saline Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grand Saline can now relate to. They fell just short of the Arp Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Considering the last time the Indians couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

This is the second loss in a row for Grand Saline and nudges their season record down to 20-9-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Arp, they pushed their record up to 26-5 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Grand Saline beat the Tigers by a score of 7-1 on Saturday.
