Volleyball Recap: Black River Pirates vs. Firelands Falcons

Black River was the 3-0 winner over Firelands when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates came up short against the Falcons on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since October 3, 2024.

While Black River ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Loss or not, Black River got some senior leadership from Remington Dieter and Kate Dieter. Remington had 22 digs and two assists, while Kate had 17 digs and one assist.
