After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shady Spring, PikeView was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Greenbrier East Spartans. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Spartans on their field since April 10, 2015.

Shelby Maddox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances.
