Baseball Recap: Mission Valley Comes Up Short

Mission Valley fell victim to West Franklin and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one run.

Mission Valley's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-5-2. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.75 runs. As for West Franklin, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Mission Valley will take on Osage City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Franklin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-11 victory against Lebo on the 28th.
