Spring Woods came into Monday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sharpstown Apollos a 14-0 shutout on Monday. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Spring Woods' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Sharpstown, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Spring Woods will square off against Galena Park at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. Galena Park will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Spring Woods surely won't give up without a fight.
