Soccer Game Preview: Holt vs. Howell

The Holt Rams will face off against the Howell Highlanders on Wednesday. Holt has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Holt is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Eaton Rapids on Thursday. The Rams took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds.

Meanwhile, Howell waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Trojans a 5-0 shutout.

Holt's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for Howell, their win bumped their record up to 6-10-1.

Holt came out on top in a nail-biter against Howell in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
