Basketball Recap: Kailua Falls Short of Moanalua in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kailua can now relate to. They lost to the Moanalua Menehune on the road by a 51-35 margin on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Surfriders in their matchups with the Menehune: they've now lost eight in a row.

Kailua's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Moanalua, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Kailua does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Moanalua, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-25 loss against Kamehameha Kapalama on the 6th.
