Meanwhile, Williamston lost 11-5 to Holt on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost nine in a row.

Williamston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Griffith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
