Football Game Preview: Cherokee County Warriors vs. Anniston Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Cherokee County Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Anniston Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

On Thursday, Cherokee County strolled past Shades Valley with points to spare, taking the game 28-13.

Keyshawn Woods produced another solid effort rushing for 260 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 165 rushing yards. Adam Griffith helped out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cherokee County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 347 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Anniston against Pleasant Grove on Friday as the squad secured a 41-13 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games by 23 points or more so far this season.

Anniston's win came from a few key players Cherokee County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jabari Williams, who rushed for 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. Jamorris Young was another key player, throwing for 70 yards and two TDs on only five passes.

Cherokee County's record now sits at 5-1. As for Anniston, their record is now 5-0.

Cherokee County strolled past Anniston in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 14-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
