Baseball Game Preview: Logos Prep Academy Lions vs. Lutheran South Academy Pioneers

For the first time this season, Logos Prep Academy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Logos Prep Academy has struggled recently with eight losses in a row, while Lutheran South Academy will arrive with 14 straight wins.

Logos Prep Academy came into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat on March 10th. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Brazos by a score of 7-5 on March 11th.

Brayden Tibbetts was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Mason Vickers also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lutheran South Academy). They put the hurt on Emery/Weiner with a sharp 17-0 victory on Wednesday. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Logos Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Lutheran South Academy, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-1-1.
