Baseball Game Preview: Exeter Township Eagles vs. Cocalico Eagles

Exeter Township will challenge Cocalico at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Exeter Township came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Governor Mifflin, falling 8-2. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Exeter Township saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Franek, who went 3-for-4 with one double. That double marked the first that Franek has hit this season. Another was Carter Redding, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Cocalico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to Manheim Central.

Cocalico's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Exeter Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
