Baseball Recap: Gunn Victorious

Gunn had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Harker on Saturday. The Gunn Titans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Harker Eagles a 9-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Friday.

The team relied heavily on Cyrus Silva Rezvani, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tripp Higgins, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Gunn hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harker struck out nine times.

Gunn now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Harker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gunn will host Pioneer at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Pioneer 4, Gunn 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Harker, they will be playing at home against Pinewood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
