It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fort Myers can now relate to. They fell just short of the North Fort Myers Red Knights by a score of 12-11 on Thursday. The Green Wave's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Sage Rodmyre was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-5. Kate Coakley also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Fort Myers' loss dropped their record down to 22-7-1. As for North Fort Myers, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
