Baseball Game Preview: Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights vs. Phillips Academy Big Blue

The Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Phillips Academy Big Blue at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Marianapolis Prep lost 13-2 to Austin Prep on Wednesday. The Golden Knights haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Angel Paulino made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Phillips Academy earned a 7-2 win over St. Sebastian's School on Wednesday. The Big Blue have beaten the Arrows the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Arrows has come to flipping the script.

Robert Brown tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Gallo, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Logan Umbarch was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
