Brennan won the last time they faced Holmes and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bears had just enough and edged out the Huskies 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Natalie Gonzales looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilliana Salas, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Gutierrez-Castillo, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Brennan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holmes only posted a batting average of .207.

Brennan's record is now 12-7. As for Holmes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Brennan will square off against Stevens at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Holmes, they will head out to challenge O'Connor at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
