Softball Recap: Cedar Victorious

Cedar never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Hurricane Tigers. The Reds haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Sadie Parson, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Hurricane off the board. With that strong performance, Parson is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Cedar saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayley Ennis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Ennis a new career-high.

Cedar's record is now 6-2. As for Hurricane, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Cedar will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hurricane: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
