Soccer Game Preview: Shaw vs. Smiths Station

The Shaw Raiders will challenge the Smiths Station Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Shaw fell victim to Oconee County and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Smiths Station was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Satsuma could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. With that draw, Smiths Station's record moves to 5-3-1.

Shaw got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February of 2023 against Smiths Station by a conclusive 6-1 score. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
