Softball Recap: Jeffersontown Has No Trouble Against Spencer County

Jeffersontown hadn't done well against Spencer County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chargers put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 14-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won five contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Jeffersontown and bumps their season record up to 5-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Spencer County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
