Basketball Recap: Bluegrass United Comes Up Short

Bluegrass United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 69-53 bruising from the HRK Eagles.

Despite the loss, Bluegrass United still got an impressive performance from Everett Pieratt, who to rack up 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Brayden McGuire also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Even though they lost, Bluegrass United smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive contests.

Bluegrass United's loss dropped their record down to 6-22. As for HRK, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Bluegrass United has already played their next match, a 68-32 victory against Rockford FIRE HomeSchool on the 21st. HRK does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
