Softball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview suffered their biggest loss since March 6th on Monday. They came up short against the Navarre Raiders, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in March.

Ava Secor was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Presley Houser also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Crestview has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Navarre, they moved to 7-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Crestview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Milton on the 10th. As for Navarre, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Choctawhatchee on the 8th.
