Oxford Academy has gone a perfect 6-0 against Artesia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Oxford Academy Patriots will be playing at home against the Artesia Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oxford Academy has four straight victories, Artesia has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Oxford Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Whitney, taking the game 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-16.

Artesia had taken Pioneer down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. Artesia came up short against Pioneer, falling 3-0.

Artesia took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-13, 25-17.

Artesia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oxford Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Everything went Oxford Academy's way against Artesia when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Oxford Academy made off with a 3-0 win. Does Oxford Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Artesia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
