Basketball Game Preview: Centralia Tigers vs. WF West Bearcats

Centralia is 0-10 against WF West since February of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Centralia Tigers duke it out with the WF West Bearcats at 7:00 p.m.

Centralia is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They lost to Black Hills at home by a 61-47 margin. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Wolves are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, WF West had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.1 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They breezed by the Highclimbers to the tune of 69-37. With the Bearcats ahead 40-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.

WF West's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Centralia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Centralia took a serious blow against WF West when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 54-22. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Centralia was down 33-8.
