In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Rahway sadly wound up on the wrong side. After all that action, the final score was 25-19, 17-25, 25-18.
Rahway's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gloria Garay, who had ten digs, six kills, and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Johnson, who had four aces and three digs.
Rahway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Union, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rahway will welcome Union Catholic at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Union Catholic will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Rahway surely won't give up without a fight. As for Union, they will take on American History at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Union will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
