Basketball Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Takes a Loss

Batesburg-Leesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Strom Thurmond Rebels. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-19 back in January.

Batesburg-Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Strom Thurmond, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers challenge the Ninety Six Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Strom Thurmond has already played their next matchup (against American Leadership Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
