Baseball Game Preview: East Ridge Knights vs. Davenport Broncos

The East Ridge Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Davenport Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Davenport took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on East Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, East Ridge turned things around against Cornerstone Charter Academy on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Ducks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since March 10th.

East Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Rincon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That's the most runs Rincon has posted since back in February. Ruperto Martinez was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Davenport lost 16-1 to Foundation Academy on Saturday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Davenport's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for East Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
