Preview: Beachwood Bison vs. Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves
The Beachwood Bison will head out on the road to face off against the Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Beachwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Beachwood had to settle for a 36-34 defeat against Bedford. Beachwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Beachwood had strong showings from Goldi Aschkenasy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Lexi Jaffe, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals. Jaffe scored a full 38.2% of Beachwood's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Cuyahoga Heights had just enough and edged Cornerstone Christian out 51-48 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cuyahoga Heights.
Beachwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cuyahoga Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
