            Burke is 2-8 against Millard South since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. Burke will host Millard South  at 4:30  p.m. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Burke took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. They walked away with  a   6-1  win over Omaha North.
 Sean Holland looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  he gave up only zero  earned runs, the fewest he's  had since back in March of 2024.
 On the hitting side, Burke's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Landon Foster, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Millard South got themselves on the board against Fremont on Monday, but Fremont never followed suit. They blew past the Tigers 16-0. The Patriots have beaten the Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.
 Tyler Albert looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 At the plate, Millard South let  Will Thomas and  Jaxson Appuhn run wild. Thomas  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple, while  Appuhn  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  runs  Thomas has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Wick, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
