Recap: Westview Chargers vs. Dorman Cavaliers
The Westview Chargers waltzed into their match Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They secured a 52-46 W over Dorman.
It was another big night for Kylee Alexander, who scored 20 points. The game was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mccall Sims, who scored 11 points.
Dorman lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Morgan White, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Nakiyah Kelly, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Westview's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Dorman, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Westview and Paducah Tilghman will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Paducah Tilghman will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 188th in Kentucky, while Westview is ranked 13th in Tennessee). Dorman and Lakewood will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lakewood is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
