            Softball Recap: Ponderosa Bruins vs. Oak Ridge Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Ponderosa was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They took  a  5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Ridge Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the  10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.

Ponderosa got a good showing from  Haley Warney, who   tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. Warney has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Ponderosa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brooklynn Nordquist, who  went 1-for-4 with one  triple.  Aleyah Cruz also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
Ponderosa's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Oak Ridge, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
 Coming up, Ponderosa will face off against Christian Brothers at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Oak Ridge, they will challenge Whitney at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
