Softball Preview: Fox Warriors vs. Lindbergh Flyers
The Fox Warriors will face off against the Lindbergh Flyers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fox is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Fox is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Northwest on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1.
Fox saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Johnson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Lindbergh had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jaguars , sneaking past 6-4.
Fox's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Lindbergh, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Fox couldn't quite finish off Lindbergh in their previous meeting back in October of 2019 and fell 11-9. Can Fox avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
