Football Recap: South Bend Washington Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Xzavion Walker and Elijah Young

It was a proper cat-fight when South Bend Washington challenged South Bend Riley on Friday. The Panthers lost to the Wildcats on the road by a 33-16 margin. The Panthers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, South Bend Washington had strong showings from Elijah Young, who threw for 216 yards and a pair of TDs, and Xzavion Walker, who picked up 105 receiving yards and one touchdown. Walker's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.

South Bend Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Bend Riley, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.
