Softball Recap: Dover Gets the Win

Dover was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They skirted past the Ephrata Mountaineers 5-3.

Dover has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Ephrata, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Dover has already played their next contest, a 21-4 victory against Central Dauphin East on the 17th. As for Ephrata, they will square off against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cedars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something the Mountaineers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
