Volleyball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lake Oconee Academy entered their tilt with Social Circle on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Redskins with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on August 5th.

Lake Oconee Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-8, 25-16.

Lake Oconee Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Klevansky, who had eight digs and two aces.

Klevansky wasn't the only good server: Lake Oconee Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Lake Oconee Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Social Circle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Lake Oconee Academy will head out to challenge Jones County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Social Circle, they will challenge Loganville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
