Basketball Recap: Massac County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jack Turner and Jude Harmon

If Massac County was feeling good fresh off their 80-52 takedown of Cairo last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Massac County Patriots lost 67-47 to the Carterville Lions on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since December 14, 2024.

Massac County's loss came despite strong showings from Jude Harmon and Jack Turner. Harmon went 7 for 12 en route to 17 points and five rebounds, while Turner posted 14 points. That's the most boards Harmon has posted since back in November of 2024.

Massac County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Carterville, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 11-12.
