Basketball Game Preview: Menominee Maroons vs. Carney-Nadeau Wolves

The Menominee Maroons will take on the Carney-Nadeau Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Menominee is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Menominee came up short against Kingsford on Thursday, falling 59-36.

Meanwhile, Carney-Nadeau posted their closest win since January 3rd on Saturday. They skirted past Crivitz 59-56. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 437th in Michigan, while the Wolverines are ranked 190th in Wisconsin).

Carney-Nadeau pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.8 points. As for Menominee, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1.

Menominee strolled past Carney-Nadeau in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 57-39. Does Menominee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carney-Nadeau turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
