Preview: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. East Leopards
The Timpanogos Timberwolves and the East Leopards will round out the year against one another at 5:45 p.m. on Friday at. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
After a string of nine wins, Timpanogos' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedar Valley.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaxen Mccuistion, who scored 15 points. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Noah Curtis was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, East lost to Mountain View on the road by a decisive 63-49 margin on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East has scored all season.
Timpanogos' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-1. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Timpanogos came up short against East when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 76-67. Thankfully for Timpanogos, Kevin Doe (who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
