Basketball Game Preview: Finneytown Wildcats vs. Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS

The Finneytown Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Finneytown is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Finneytown came up short against Indian Hill on Saturday, falling 71-48.

Meanwhile, Madeira suffered their closest loss since December 8, 2023 on Saturday. They fell just short of Taylor by a score of 54-51. The MUSTANGS/AMAZONS have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Finneytown will have to keep a close watch on Will Manning and Eli Beck, a pair of players who had a big impact on Madeira's prior game. Manning went 7 for 17 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds, while Beck went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Reed, who posted six points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Madeira now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Finneytown, their record now sits at 2-5.

Finneytown was taken down by Madeira 73-38 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Finneytown was down 48-23.
