Volleyball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Dayspring Christian Academy lost against Flatirons Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Bison. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Dayspring Christian Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-23.

Ashley Teele paced Dayspring Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Teele got some help from Addy Konzek and her 18 assists. Abby Casey controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Tessa Miller, who had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Dayspring Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Flatirons Academy, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Coming up, Dayspring Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Haxtun at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Flatirons Academy, they will host Belleview Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
