The J.R. Tucker Tigers will face off against Maggie Walker at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

J.R. Tucker got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Hermitage. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Kendall Shockley made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Shockley was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Miyah Williams was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Victoria Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Maggie Walker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of Highland Springs. While Maggie Walker didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Highland Springs 8-1 in the first period.

Maggie Walker got a massive performance out of Jalise Melson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Simmons, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

J.R. Tucker's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Maggie Walker, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
