Softball Game Preview: Sutherlin Bulldogs vs. Siuslaw Vikings

For the second straight game, Sutherlin will face off against Siuslaw. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row, Sutherlin turned things around against Siuslaw on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since April 5th.

The team relied heavily on Kellsie Engelstad, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Morgan McKinney was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Siuslaw is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12. As for Sutherlin, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-11.
